Welcome
Welcome to Summer Has Gone. This is an AU Game of Thrones site unlike anything you've seen before. We've added twelve new islands that are Kingdoms of their own - these will be a source of curiosity and fascination for the inhabitants of Westeros, and a source of conflict, as alliances are made and enemies are made. Also, this is JCINK Premium so certain characters have been aged up, as have events. We have also added in relatives to certain Houses, to make things more interesting.

and the game is old
for amarei & aegon

It was just another day in Oldtown. Traders and merchants bartered their wares. Children ran through the winding streets while their mothers haggled with stall owners over prices, and the gallant soldiers of the City Watch patrolled the streets. There was absolutely nothing out of the ordinary to be seen.

Meanwhile, Lady Amarei took to the streets of the shining city, accompanied by her retinue of ladies and a few Hightower guards. Since her prestigious family ruled the city, the smallfolk made way for the highborn girl, parting in the streets as she approached. There was no doubt as to who she was; even a person outside her acquaintance would know that she was of noble blood. Everything about her radiated grace, wealth, and aristocracy. There was the fact that Amarei also display her house’s prominence in the most visible way: clothing. Every fashionable, the lady wore a dark red satin gown with argent beadwork covering the bodice, and her rich chocolate locks draped in a cascade of curls over her shoulder.

Amarei did not linger on the streets. She had business at the harbor that she was eager to see to. As the highborn lady neared the main wharf, she caught sight of a cog, The Light Lady, which was one of House Hightower’s merchant vessels. As the crew was unloading the cargo, Lady Amarei made her way down the pier to the ship.

“Captain Loryns,” greeted Amarei, announcing her presence as she singled out the ship’s captain.

The captain turned his attention away from the goods and toward the young noblewoman. “My Lady Amarei!” He bow at the waist and genteelly took her hand to place a kiss upon her silken skin. To anyone watching, the exchange seemed normal and commonplace. What outsiders did not see was the captain slipping a tiny, rolled parchment into Amarei’s palm. Then so no one would be the wiser, the Hightower girl purchased a bolt of fine Myrish silk dyed the city's famous purple. The encounter was quick, lasting no longer than it had to. Then after Amarei paid her clandestine captain, she left the dock, her business finished.

Tucking the little scroll in a pocket hidden in the folds of her skirt, Lady Amarei made her back through the plaza and squares of the port city toward Battle Island, thinking her day quite concluded.

It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life and in change there is power.

All you have is your fire
An incredibly liberating feeling had settled over Aegon since his arrival to the port city of Old Town. It was the very center of knowledge in all of Westeros and he was eagerly anticipating the devotion of all his time to study. Convincing his father to allow him the journey had not been as difficult as he might've thought. Despite having recently kept his vocalizations of discontent in the courts of King's Landing to himself, suffering in silence so to speak, his father could read him as easily as ever. Perhaps he'd simply thought it best to allow him his freedom while he still had it---before the time came for him to sit on the throne.

Whatever the reason, Aegon was grateful and his curiosity was ignited. He'd heard many fascinating accounts of the Citadel's grand library and he could hardly contain his excitement to finally see the place for himself! It was wonderful to simply step away from the expectations of the realm, as his mind hadn't felt so unencumbered in quite some time. A reprieve was long overdue.

When his ship had docked, he'd taken his time in slowly strolling along the streets, meeting the stares of the citizens who instantly recognized his house from the shade of his hair. However, aside from that, he was more or less anonymous to them. He doubted most of them ventured out to King's Landing very often, and even fewer would actually recollect him at that.

It was a quaint place, if not a little proud in it's presentation. However, even so, it contained none of the uptight vibes of King's Landing. He could breathe here and didn't have the weight over him of social conduct. Walking along the pier, he scanned the lines of merchants before his eyes shifted to the High tower. It was a grand lighthouse, while also served as the seat of noble Hightower family, as it had for hundreds of years.

Aegon looked last upon the citadel itself and his steps hastened slightly as he stared, the draw of awaiting knowledge more compelling than most any other force in the world to him. It was unquenchable, it was limitless. In his mind were many unanswered questions to every mystery contained in this realm and beyond. He was fairly certain too that his research would only spurn more questions, providing him with a never ending drive to fulfill his greatest ambition.

Not paying attention to his steps, Aegon stumbled and instinctively reached out to steady himself, only to glance over and immediately straighten his stance as he lowered his hand away from the shoulder of a young woman who had been passing by. She was elegant, obviously highborn, and he appraised her apologetically. "Excuse me, my lady," he bowed his head slightly as his hand fell at his side. "I'm afraid I wasn't watching where I was going. I was a bit...caught up in thought."

He wasn't a particularly clumsy person, but he did tend to get caught up in his fascinations and his physical surroundings would usually start to fall away from his awareness as a result. It was something he'd been told on countless occasions to improve upon, but he still hadn't discovered a way to actually go about doing that. When it happened, his thoughts tended to get the best of him, taking off on their own in all sorts of directions. In fact, he almost loved just how unrestrained they were in contrast to the life he was expected to live.
