Welcome
Welcome to Summer Has Gone. This is an AU Game of Thrones site unlike anything you've seen before. We've added twelve new islands that are Kingdoms of their own - these will be a source of curiosity and fascination for the inhabitants of Westeros, and a source of conflict, as alliances are made and enemies are made. Also, this is JCINK Premium so certain characters have been aged up, as have events. We have also added in relatives to certain Houses, to make things more interesting.

"Well struck, Ser Robar!" The voice of Sharra Arryn carried well over the clangs and yells of the men in the training yard, and the two sweating men looked towards their little lady, breathing heavily while she gifted them both a smile. "Ser Robar, you are truly gifted with the sword! I dare say that your skills may truly only be matched by the Knight of Flowers. Wouldn't you agree Albar?" Sharra questioned, glancing towards the Royce who was at her heel. He nodded in agreement, the two Royce cousins looking at each other, appraising the other. It was rather amusing to witness these two cousins, for Robar was much more of a warrior and swordsman, while Albar was much more of a political mind. It was also the latter that Sharra favored more, but perhaps that was due to having similar mindsets and having known one another since such a young age.

"Now, now Ser Belmore, do not think I had forgotten about you." Sharra's gaze went from the Royce cousins to the lanky gentleman with red hair that was such a dark shade that it was almost auburn, though at her mentioning his name his face became almost as red as his hair. "You put up the most galliant of efforts, and don't think I didn't notice in you allowing Robar his balance back after he stumbled, for I did and praise your swordsmanship. However, in the future, I hope that you would not allow such advantage to your opponate. Especially should you become captain of my guards, for either of you very well could."

"Now, please continue on with your training." Sharra graciously moved out of the way, back to the walkway that boxed in the training yard with Albar at her elbow. To where she may observe and oversee the training of the knights in her envoy. Only the best had been brought with her, for she was not only Lord Jon Arryns eldest child, but also his only daughter and his favorite. Her safety, especially in being so far from home, was at the utmost importance and therefore only the best had been sent with her. Well, except for cousin Harrold, for father hadn't wanted to cause any incidents with Harrold bedding the wrong woman in seeing that he already had a bastard child and another on the way.

Sharra watched as the practicing continued, dark blue eyes sharply watching their movements. Who would be best to depend on for her safety? Who would instill loyalty into fellow men and knights? Who would loyalty follow her, a woman, should her lord father pass away and her mother and ill-brother try and take control of the Vale? Who would fight for her? Die for her? For the continued stability of the Vale? These are the things she needed to know.

Sharra eyed an individual also watching her knights, for they were clearly identified as knights of the Vale with their sky-blue cloaks and silver mail. And, naturally, they were clearly all very much skilled knights. "Enjoying the view?" Sharra questioned, a friendly smile on her lips that she made sure reached her eyes.

Okay so here we have Sharra Arryn, eldest child of Jon Arryn and Lysa Tully, and Keeper of the Gates of the moon. While the title of heir to the Vale of Arryn technically belongs to her younger brother, Robert Arryn or Sweet Robin, there has been talk of having Sharra claim her brothers place as heir to the Vale. She is a cunning, ambitious, and clever individual who may or may not be planning a coup against her mother and brother to take her brothers place as heir to the Vale, and is quietly aligning the noblemen to her side to support her when that day comes. However, at the present moment she is diplomatic and even friendly towards those who visit the Gates of the Moon.

Anyway she's also new so let's get down to some plotting shall we?

F
riends: Sharra is a charming and graceful young woman who knows how to behave like a lady as well as the fact that you can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. As such, she is nothing but kind and benevolent towards those around her, be they noble or servant. She can be a bit stubborn and uptight at times, but should you prove yourself loyal then you shall receive loyalty in return. However, it should be noted that her utter loyalty is to house Arryn, until the day she dies.

E
nemies: Sharra isn't antagonistic for the most part, knowing when to let bygones be bygones, but she'll never forget an insult or betrayal. Threaten to harm her or her family? You'll wake up with a knife to your throat or find yourself flying out the moon door. Right now the enemies list is short, but it is sure to grow in the future.

L
ove(s): Sharra is a maiden fair and shall remain until she is cloaked and wedded. That being said, Sharra has a realistic approach on how her future marriage will be arranged for her and that, while there may not be love, she strives for at least companionship in the arrangement. Of course, due to how ill her younger brother is and she being the only other surviving child of her parents marriage, Sharra is aware of various plots and plans to marry her, but at the present time she isn't betrothed.

Your birth was not one through any love between your parents, but through practicality. Your father, Jon Arryn, was desperately in need of an heir to keep the seat of the Vale secured. Unfortunately, your parents marriage was filled with stillbirths after stillbirths, wrecking your mothers heart and head with grief. Until your birth, screaming so loud that your father claimed that all of the Vale could hear you, with your mother crying tears of relief when the maester pronounced you a healthy child. It was not an easy pregnancy, nor an easy birth, but with the announcement of a healthy child, it had seemed worth it. You are named after the last Queen of the Vale, Sharra Arryn.

However, you are not a son. A son would have been preferred above a daughter, but your father took note to announce that after the birth of such a healthy daughter, surely a healthy son will soon to follow. However, perhaps a shadow of doubt plagued your lord father, for he started to raise you as an heir to the Vale, as he would have done with a son. You are their only child, for quite some time, and as the time lengthened and more stillbirths and miscarriages occurred, the more responsibilities were placed upon your shoulders. These responsibilities were in addition to the traditional duties of a noble daughter and the guidance and tutelage of your Septa in traditional womanly activities. You may have been only a child when you take up these duties, but in a way you were never truly a child.

You had never had any nervous energy to you, always having a purpose to your actions and plans. A rhyme and a reason. You aren't like most children in this regard, and in ways to bewilder your parents. Less violent and less prone to tears than other children, more apt to think being acting and reacting. More likely to handle things on your own than to go to your parents. Your father takes note of it, calling it a quiet strength.

You are named Keeper of the Gate of the Moon after the birth of your younger brother, small little Sweet Robin. Sickly little Robin, the only surviving male child of your parents. Your mother clings to him in a way that frightens you and disgusts your father. You can hear their yelling and fights throughout the Eyrie, and your mother soon turns her anger towards you. She screams at you, practically foaming at the mouth at how stupid you were, that you should've been a male and how Robin should be the healthy one, not you. She screams and grips your shoulders, shaking you as your septa and a few gentlemen tried to separate the two of you. You are startled and frightened, and while you don't inform your lord father of this outburst, he finds out. You are sent to the Gates of the Moon, to be under the care of Steward of the Vale, Lord Nestor Royce. And, much to your mothers dislike and your fathers pride, you take to your role like a fish to water or a falcon to air.

The record keeping of finances, livestock, and of all visitors of the Gates of the Moon were not truly that difficult, for mostly it meant working in comforting silence as you write everything down and checked to make sure all the numbers met up. However, what proved more difficult was in the handling of those who came to the Gates of the Moon to seek to go further on to the Eyrie. While the Arryn name called for respect, and such respect was given, you were quick to see the looks on their faces when you spoke. For you are a woman, and should be treated like a fragile doll that could break at any moment.

But you are not some fragile doll to be cuddled - that is your sickly brothers role. You are as unmovable as the mountains that you call home, and those who come to the Gates of the Moon are quick to realize this. Or, at the very least, the smart ones are. Those who dare to belittle her in her own halls are quick to realize their mistake when those loyal to you hold daggers to their throats in the dead of night.

As time goes on and you settle into your position, waking up at dawn and only going to bed long after night has fallen. You oversee the finances of the Gate of the Moon, including the collection of rents, as well as supervise the farming and settlement of disputes brought to you. You supervise the meals and ensure the stores are sufficient, as well as forming embroidery circles with the visiting ladies with ease. There is no fear in your gaze as others approach you, seeking an audience with you before going to the Eyrie to seek an audience with your father.

You also notice a change in the noblemen's behavior towards yourself, and cannot help but smile whenever another would seek your favor. However, the pieces did not fall into play until you traveled back up towards the Eyrie for Robins nameday. And what a pitiful sight to see, witnessing you mother obsesses over a sickly, whining, and spoiled child. How angered your father was, snapping at your mother when she tried to feed the grown boy from her breast!

It was clear for the noblemen to see that Robin was inadequate as an heir, and with your father showing you to be his favorite, plots were starting to emerge. You knew of them, naturally, for you have ways of gathering information. Especially when they involve yourself in the center of them. Plots of getting rid of the sickly heir, and marrying you to claim the Vale. The names changed but the basic plot remained the same. You listen and you take note, listening to the names of those attached to them and smiling prettily at them. Let them think they can use you, and wait for the perfect time to prove them wrong. Though, should anything happen to your beloved brother, then naturally you would do your duty and serve the Vale as your father has before you.
